This, the title track to the album, was actually written last. Had lots of different musical ideas that never quite came right. I wanted to capture the unadulterated euphoria of Good Vibrations (hence the 'subtle' reference in the song and la-la-la vocal backing). Finally got what I was looking for when I was watching a movie and 'Happy Together' by The Turtles came on the soundtrack. So I just 'borrowed' the choppy rhythm...
